I don’t have any thing to say
Except the things that should not be confessed
Unless to a priest, but I’m not Catholic.
So I wait as I always do
For the cold of dawn to offer
Me the right to read the poetry
Preceding and surpassing me.

Their words are always better
And mine should be so few
That I may learn from the aged ones
Long gone.
